BobNet Cartography
Created a spoiler-safe map that reveals characters, routes, and evidence only through the reader’s selected chapter.
Purpose
BobNet Cartography helps readers explore the people, places, routes, and evidence in a five-book series without seeing future information. The reader selects a current chapter, and that boundary applies across every map and detail view, making a dense body of research useful without sacrificing suspense or trust.
Technical implementation
The offline-first application uses React and TypeScript for the interface and data model, D3 for interactive maps, and Workbox for reliable cached access. A deterministic source pipeline compiles 353 chapter boundaries, 183 characters, 78 locations, and 59 routes while keeping confirmed facts visually distinct from inferred travel.

Inspect the evidence A real chapter-seeded capture shows 53 revealed waypoints, route notation, and the inspector under the same spoiler boundary.
Keep the reader in control A real Book 1, Chapter 1 capture withholds a future location from search while preserving the map and inspector context.
